"Let's start this off by saying the truth. I don't like anything about insurance. However - this agency, and specifically Kyra Cross, made my mandated insurance needs work for me while saving me a shit ton of money. She had the unique ability to look after my risks while respecting my time - both in the ease of purchasing my polices and also slowing things down so I could understand things. "We switched our insurance to State Farm because they were supposed to be a better rate. At first customer service seemed great but once we signed the paperwork that was the end of that. Our first issue came to us when our mortgage jumped up $600. Upon calling our insurance company we found out that State Farm did not contact them and get the home owners insurance switched over correctly. We called and found out they sent our information to a completely different company in California. After a slew of phone calls to our previous insurance and our mortgage company we fixed their mistake. Upon calling a week later State Farm had no record on their end that the wrong company had been contacted originally by them. They also did not fix it on their end a week ago when our mortgage company contacted them. When talking to their “customer relations specialist” (initials KB) she just argued that they did send it to the correct place and put the blame on us that they contacted the wrong company even though we were assured at the time we didn’t need to do anything and they would contact the mortgage company. I then had to find my paperwork from the mortgage company and call back with the correct info for them to change it in their side. For someone who is a customer relations specialist it really felt like she doesn’t understand how to not argue when the company was in the wrong. It was a very frustrating conversation when I’m always stressed out because I have to come up with $600 extra dollars for this months mortgage because of State Farm not doing their job correctly. Always follow up with an email to them or they will argue that no conversations or correct information was given but honestly I would use a different agents office."
